Jean-Eric Vergne could have an F1 drive in 2019

Jean-Eric Vergne has claimed that he has been contacted by a Formula 1 team with a view to a drive for the 2019 season, after a hugely impressive campaign in Formula E which saw him win the title with a record-high points total.  Vergne was previously in F1 with Toro Rosso between 2012 and 2014 alongside Daniel Ricciardo, before being dropped by Red Bull, though he has bounced back in spectacular fashion, prompting a number of options for the 28-year-old.  Vergne insists that he holds no resentment for being dropped from the discipline and that the intervening years have helped him become a stronger person and better driver.  Speaking to Crash.net, he said: "In my mind,...
