Daniel Ricciardo blames Q3 absence on Stroll's spin

Daniel Ricciardo suggests he failed to make it into Q3 because of Lance Stroll's spin at the start of a wet Q2. The track conditions deteriorated as the session went on, meaning Ricciardo faced an impossible task to escape the drop zone. The Red Bull driver was nearly eliminated from Q1, but he managed to pull it out of the bag. Following the session, Ricciardo provided the media with an explanation. "Starting Q2 obviously the rain was coming so basically first on track was getting the best track," Ricciardo said in an interview on race fans.
