Latifi and Giovinazzi handed FP1 drives for German Grand Prix

German Grand Prix – Reserve drivers Nicholas Latifi and Antonio Giovinazzi have been given opportunities to impress in free practice one at the Hockenheimring. Antonio Giovinazzi will make his first free practice appearance of the year at this weekend's German Grand Prix, sitting in for Marcus Ericsson. The 24-year-old Ferrari junior driver, who tested for Formula E team Virgin Racing in Marrakech, last drove an F1 car in testing in Barcelona this May. Since finishing runner-up in the GP2 Series in 2016, Giovinazzi has been a Ferrari development driver, and has tested in a variety of FP1 session for Haas throughout 2017.
