Grosjean receives engine boost ahead of French GP

Romain Grosjean’s engine that ended his qualifying in Canada has been cleared to use again, and the Frenchman will use it is practice for his home Grand Prix this weekend. It had been feared that the Haas driver’s Ferrari engine had suffered significant damage in the incident, but fortunately for Grosjean, the V6, MGU-H and turbo are still useable in Paul Ricard. It turns out that an oil leak led to the smoke cloud, a relief for Haas who could have been facing grid penalties earlier than they would have liked this season.
