Barcelona Test Day 1: Verstappen fastest
Ten drivers took to Circuit de Catalunya for the first day of in-season testing at the Spanish Grand Prix venue, with Red Bull's Max Verstappen setting the fastest time as well as racking up the second most mileage on a productive day for the energy drinks outfit. Verstappen, who finished third in the race on Sunday, set the best lap time of 1.17:528 using the Pirelli Hypersoft tyres and racked up 148 laps in the process. Next up, fractionally slower, was Carlos Sainz in the Renault who set his best lap time in similar conditions to his former Toro Rosso teammate.
