Fernando Alonso unveils special helmet for Daytona 24 Hours
Fernando Alonso has unveiled the helmet design which he will sport at this year’s Daytona 24 Hours, which kicks off on Friday with the Roar before the 24 official test. Alonso will team up with McLaren’s test/reserve driver Lando Norris and young gun Phil Hanson to pilot a Ligier JS P217 fielded by United Autosports, the outfit co-owned by McLaren boss Zak Brown. Alonso has released renders of his predominantly white helmet, though his usual colours – blue, red and yellow – have been retained in the form of stripes.
