Alonso: It’s fantastic to continue with McLaren

After months of speculation surrounding his future in Formula 1 Fernando Alonso has agreed terms to remain with McLaren for next season, the Spaniard is said to have signed a $26-million one year deal-with the team. The double F1 world champion has endured a miserable three years with the British-based former world champions and had refused to commit to staying until he felt they could provide him with a competitive car. McLaren have gone some way towards answering those doubts by ending a troubled partnership with Honda and switching to Renault engines in 2018.
