Sainz planning to ease into Renault F1 life 'session by session'

Carlos Sainz Jr. is relishing the chance to see out the 2017 Formula 1 season with Renault, believing the additional four races with the team will give him a boost heading into his first full campaign at Enstone in 2018. Sainz was confirmed to be joining Renault for 2018 over the Singapore Grand Prix weekend, only for the team to work a deal to shuffle out Jolyon Palmer and draft the Spaniard in from this weekend's United States Grand Prix. Speaking in Thursday's FIA press conference, Sainz said the additional four races would aid him in settling into life at Renault, giving him a head-start ahead of his planned start with the team next year.
