Alonso to remain at McLaren in 2018
Fernando Alonso has extended his contract with McLaren for the 2018 Formula 1 season alongside Stoffel Vandoorne. The Spaniard’s contract was due to expire at the end of the current season, with Alonso looking at various options in the midst of McLaren’s difficult tenure with their engine supplier Honda. 'It’s fantastic to be able to continue my relationship with everybody at McLaren,” Alonso said. “It was always where my heart was telling me to stay, and I really feel at home here.
