– Sebastian Vettel's title hopes have taken a fresh blow after the German encountered engine problems during the opening stages of the Japanese Grand Prix, leading to his retirement from the race.Vettel led the championship through to the Italian round last month, though lost further ground to Lewis Hamilton in Singapore and Malaysia, amid contact and engine drama.Vettel qualified in second place in Japan but problems arose on the dummy grid, with Ferrari frantically working on the rear of his car, amid a spark plug issue.Mechanics replaced the engine cover prior to the start, and Vettel took to the grid as per usual.Vettel slotted in behind Lewis Hamilton off the line but lost out...
