Renault open to delaying Marcin Budkowski's start date

Renault have said they are open to delaying the arrival of new signing Marcin Budkowski following criticism from rival teams that his appointment is unfair. The former FIA technical head resigned from his position within the governing body last week and is currently on a three-month period of gardening leave. Rival teams were angered by the short-length of the leave, considering Budkowski has deep knowledge of rival teams developments for the coming season. Renault confirmed his signing on Friday, but didn't confirm a start date, but team boss Cyril Abiteboul says it could be as early as January, but they would be open to delaying it a further three months to appease rivals...
