Romain Grosjean: Wider tyre window, better warm-up required
Haas driver Romain Grosjean believes Formula 1 tyre supplier Pirelli needs to produce rubber which can operate in a wider window, and which are easier to warm-up. After several years of manufacturing tyres which degraded quickly and limited pure pace, Pirelli has produced wider, more durable tyres for 2017, in line with revised Formula 1 regulations. However, drivers have displayed struggles at operating the tyres effectively, believing there to be a narrow window in which to extract maximum performance, while warm-up has also been an issue.
