Sauber considering Honda, Mercedes engines for F1 2018
Sauber is still considering its power unit options for the 2018 F1 season, with both Honda and Mercedes potential candidates to replace the Swiss outfit's long-time partner Ferrari. The team has been linked to a second Honda supply since last year, and speculation that it could even become Honda's main entry has intensified since McLaren was linked to a switch back to Mercedes following another difficult start to the season. Pascal Wehrlein's presence at Sauber has also opened up the possibility of a part-subsidised Mercedes supply, with the Stuttgart manufacturer having done similar deals to run both the German and Esteban Ocon at Manor last year.
