Vettel beats Hamilton to Australian GP win

– Sebastian Vettel beat Lewis Hamilton to victory in the season-opening Australian Grand Prix, going longer on a one-stop strategy, in the process marking Ferrari's first win since the tail-end of the 2015 campaign.Hamilton led the early stages of the race from pole position but lost out to Vettel in the single pit-stop phase, having pitted first and hit traffic.Vettel built up a sizeable advantage, as Hamilton got stuck behind Max Verstappen for a handful of laps, and held it through to the chequered flag.Vettel and Ferrari thus claimed their first Formula 1 victory since the 2015 Singapore Grand Prix, building on quick, consistent pre-season pace.More to follow.
