Hakkinen: McLaren is my home in Formula 1
McLaren have appointed their former Formula 1 World Champion Mika Hakkinen to an ambassadorial role with the team. Hakkinen drove for McLaren between 1993 and 2001 and was F1 world champion with the team in 1998 and 1999, during an era when the team was powered by Mercedes engines. He has had ambassador roles with Mercedes-Benz, Johnnie Walker, Nokian Tyres and UBS.
