'Russia extends F1 deal through 2025'

– Russia has extended its contract to host a round of the Formula 1 World Championship until the 2025 season, according to Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak.Russia, and Sochi Autodrom, arrived on the Formula 1 calendar in 2014, with an initial deal running through 2020, signed by then-Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and F1 chief Bernie Ecclestone.Russia is now set to stay on the F1 roster for a further five years."We held negotiations and the contract for holding FIA Formula One racing Grand Prix in Russia has been extended till 2025," Kozak was quoted by Russian news agency TASS.Russia will host its fourth Formula 1 race from April 28-30.
