Ricciardo eyes 'good things' from wider tyres

– Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo says he is expecting "good things" from Pirelli's wider tyres, and believes pre-season testing will demonstrate the rubber's true performance.Pirelli will introduce tyres 25 per cent wider than the sizes used in Formula 1 across recent season, as part of the sport's overhaul of the regulations.The sole tyre supplier conducted extensive testing with the 2017-sized tyres during the second half of last year, with Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull providing modified 2015 cars.Ricciardo sampled Pirelli's 2017-sized tyres during the end-of-season private running in Abu Dhabi, but is expecting pre-season testing to provide a more representative...
