Horner irritated: 'Brown and Wolff try to destabilise Red Bull'

Christian Horner has been under fire within his own team, Red Bull Racing for some time. The team boss does not want to know anything about resigning - even after the announced departure of Adrian Newey. Indeed, Horner believes that the turmoil at the Austrian team is also due to external factors. The Briton is convinced that other F1 teams are deliberately trying to destabilise Red Bull.

Horner is not shy in terms of teams working on this: McLaren and Mercedes. "I think we know there are two candidates involved; they talk a lot. And look, I'm not going to get Zak [Brown, CEO of McLaren]in for a tit for that, but I'd be more focused on Toto's [Wolff, CEO of Mercedes F1], own issues that he has."

'Red Bull just attracted a lot of staff'

The Red Bull team boss says he is not bothered by the story - helped into the world by Brown - that more and more of the Austrian racing stable's staff are applying to McLaren. "Of course, there's always going to be movement between teams, I don't know how many people we've employed from McLaren this year or how many people VCarb we’ve employed In Mercedes, we've taken 220 people. 220 into Red Bull power trains so when we're talking about losing people I'd be a bit more worried about the 220 not maybe one or two."

Since last weekend, it has been clear that sporting director Jonathan Wheatley is open to a role as team boss at another F1 team. "There are rumours about everybody so contracts between individuals and their terms and conditions are not something that we talk to the public about," Horner said.
