Audi confirms: Volkswagen Group confirms Formula 1 plans
Earlier on Thursday the news trickled through that Volkswagen Group would have given permission to Audi and Porsche to join Formula 1. Audi itself has now finally confirmed that it intends to compete in the premier class of motor racing from 2026. The statement released reads, "The management and supervisory boards of Volkswagen AG, Porsche AG and AUDI AG have confirmed plans for a possible entry into Formula 1 by the two brands. The Audi and Porsche brands will provide details later."
