Palmer: ‘Lewis now favourite for the first time this year’

Jolyon Palmer believes Mercedes' recent improvements and the tracks remaining make Lewis Hamilton the title favourite for the first time in 2021. Hamilton surrendered the World Championship lead in Turkey after taking a grid penalty for an engine change, recovering to take P5 while Max Verstappen finished second behind Valtteri Bottas. But given how Bottas was able to perform and the apparent gap in speed between Mercedes and Red Bull in qualifying and the race, former Renault driver Palmer is now beginning to lean towards his compatriot in who will take the title in 2021. “You know what, for the first time this season I’m starting to think maybe Lewis is the favourite overall,”...
