Mercedes "shock" Norris with below-par testing performance

McLaren driver Lando Norris has conceded to being shocked by the pre-season form of Mercedes, suggesting the reigning Formula 1 champions were "not quite so good as you would expect". Even Mercedes trackside engineering director Andrew Shovlin has suggested the team has its "work cut out" to match the pace of Red Bull in the season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix later this month given that team's performance over the three days at the International Circuit.
