Jordan: I believe Lewis will be signed within a week

Eddie Jordan believes that Lewis Hamilton will sign a new contract with Mercedes this week, bringing to an end the saga that has gone on throughout the off-season. The seven-time world champion's previous deal expired at the end of the 2020 campaign and the delay in a new one being announced has resulted in plenty of speculation. That has only been fuelled by the performance of George Russell in the Mercedes at the Sakhir Grand Prix while Hamilton was out with COVID-19, although team principal Toto Wolff has remained calm about an agreement being reached.
