Pirelli suggests two-stop strategy is fastest for Eifel GP

Formula 1 tyre supplier Pirelli suggests a two-stop strategy is the fastest way to victory for the Eifel Grand Prix being held at the legendary Nurburgring. The circuit famously labelled ‘The Green Hell' by Sir Jackie Stewart will host its 41st F1 event which was first held in 1951 on the old 160-turn Nordschleife layout – won by Alberto Ascari for Ferrari on Pirelli tyres. After inclement weather forced Friday practice to be abandoned, the weather around the circuit buried in the Eifel mountains has improved enough to allow track action for the remainder of the weekend.
