Full result FP1: Bottas the fastest, Verstappen in third place
Valtteri Bottas was the fastest during the first free practice in Russia. Furthermore it was a training with a lot of spins and crashes. Latifi's crash even caused a short red flag. Valtteri Bottas was again the fastest in VT1. The Finn set a time of 1:34.923 on the soft tyre. After him came Daniel Ricciardo of Renault, a great achievement of the Australian. Verstappen followed P3. The Dutchman was more than six tenths slower than Bottas. Both Racing Points also did well, Perez and Stroll were on P4 and P5.
