Hamilton describes finding his Senna-like zone
Lewis Hamilton has opened up on the Ayrton Senna-like trance he experienced while breezing to victory in the Spanish Grand Prix. Senna, of course, was Hamilton’s hero from his earliest childhood memories of motor sport and the Brazilian once said: “Suddenly I realised I was no longer driving the car consciously. I was driving it by a kind of instinct, only I was in a different dimension.” Hamilton, who has joined the Brazilian as one of the all-time F1 greats, had a similar feeling during his exemplary performance to win the latest race at Barcelona, easing home 24 seconds clear in his Mercedes from Max Verstappen.
