Leclerc benefits from chaotic end: "We've been lucky!"
It didn't look like Charles Leclerc was going to finish on the podium this weekend. However, just before the end of the race Valtteri Bottas suddenly got a flat tyre, which was a godsend for the Monegasque. "It was a very difficult race. When I heard that Bottas had problems with his tyres, I immediately slowed down. Then it also happened that Sainz and Hamilton had a flat tyre, so we were lucky. We made the most of it. I'm very happy with how I kept the tyres in one piece and with the balance of the car. The speed of the car isn't where it should be, but we used all the possibilities," said Leclerc.
