Imola boss: Logical to have an Italian triple header
Imola could join the 2020 Formula 1 calendar as part of a triple header with Monza and Mugello, according to circuit president Uberto Selvatico Estense. Following reports that Mugello is all-but-confirmed for a second Italian Grand Prix in September, Selvatico Estense – whose circuit hosted the AlphaTauri F1 team on Wednesday – suggests Italy is ready to become the first country since the USA in 1982 to host three races. “Imola has F1 in its DNA and the history of F1 has taken place on this track, it must not be forgotten and one must be rightly proud of it,” he said, referring to the San Marino GP that ran at the circuit from 1980-2006. “Looking ahead and with an eye to...
