Williams appoints Roberts as new F1 Managing Director

Williams has recruited long-term McLaren figure Simon Roberts to take up the newly-created role of Managing Director at its Formula 1 team. Roberts has spent the bulk of the last two decades with McLaren in various roles, including Operations Director, General Manager and, since 2017, Chief Operations Officer. He was also seconded to Force India for the 2009 season as its Chief Operations Officer when the team embarked upon a collaborative relationship with McLaren.
