Perez donates food parcels in coronavirus efforts

Sergio Perez, along with his Fundacion Checo Perez, has donated over 1,000 food parcels to those in need in Mexico, amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The Formula 1 season is on hiatus until at least June, with all events through Canada postponed or cancelled, while France’s event is expected to be called off after the country’s lockdown was extended. Racing Point driver Perez and his foundation have created a fundraising effort to help those in need of essential items, most prominently groceries, in his native Mexico. A donation of 300 Pesos (around $12) is enough for one ‘pantry’, which will be delivered by the foundation itself; a target of one million has been set. To this...
