Sainz tests negative for COVID-19

After concerns he might have contracted COVID-19 from a team member, McLaren driver Carlos Sainz has confirmed he tested negative for the virus. Sharing the news on Instagram, the 25-year-old Spaniard confirmed he is nevertheless undergoing a period of self isolation after a team member had tested positive for the coronavirus prior to the 2020 Australian Grand Prix, precipitating the cancellation of the event. “After what happened in Australia, I needed to do the COVID-19 test and I am very happy because the results are negative,” he announced. “In reality it won’t change much, because I will continue in quarantine.” Similarly, 14 other McLaren staffers remain in quarantine in...
