Alonso shrugs off self-centred claims
Fernando Alonso may not have raced in Formula 1 for over a year, but the Spaniard continues to make the headlines. The Spaniard has insisted he is not a self-centred driver. Alonso won two World Championships during his F1 career, in successive years in 2005 and 2006. The Spaniard won both titles whilst at Renault but went on to have spells with Ferrari before retiring with McLaren in 2018. Alonso is also close to completing the Triple Crown, only needing the Indy 500 title, to add to his Monaco Grand Prix and Le Mans victories.
