Renault disqualified from Japan GP after protest

Both Renault cars have been disqualified from the Japanese Grand Prix after SportPesa Racing Point launched a post-race protest over a brake bias adjustment system. At an FIA meeting in Geneva on Wednesday, the governing body ruled that whilst the Renault cars were not guilty of any technical regulation infringement, the brake bias adjustment system used by both drivers has been deemed to be a driver aid. As a result, both Daniel Ricciardo and Nico Hulkenberg have lost their respective P7 and P9 finishes and have now been disqualified. Renault can lodge an appeal but have until Thursday to do so.
