Nyck de Vries wins F2 title!

Nyck de Vries has won the Formula 2 title after winning the feature race at the Russian Grand Prix, making it impossible for Nicholas Latifi to catch him in the standings. De Vries took pole and secured his fourth race win of the season to take his points tally to 254, too many for the Canadian to overhaul with just three races left. The Dutchman joins Charles Leclerc and Geroge Russell as F2 champions since the rebrand from GP2 in 2017. It was confirmed recently that de Vries would race for Mercedes' new Formula E team alongside Stoffel Vandoorne for Formula E's 2019/20 season after he struggled to find a drive in F1.
