Verstappen blunt after disappointing qualifying: 'We are too slow'
After a qualifying session in which he put in the fourth quickest lap, Aston Martin Red Bull Racing driver Max Verstappen admitted his car simply wasn't quick enough on the day, with the Dutchman having been tipped to get pole position before the weekend started. With its very bendy nature, the Marina Bay Street Circuit tends to favour the car with most downforce rather than power, something which typically is right up Red Bull's street. However, the Bulls just weren't at the races on Saturday, with Verstappen finishing over half a second off the pace and teammate Alexander Albon being over a full second behind pole-sitter Charles Leclerc.
