Haas yet to understand ‘weird’ performance fluctuations

Haas Formula 1 team principal Guenther Steiner says the American squad is still no closer to understanding its “very weird” performance fluctuations throughout the 2019 season. In stark contrast to 2018 - in which it finished fifth in the championship - Haas has struggled so far this campaign and scored just 26 points from the opening 12 rounds of the year, leaving the team languishing ninth in the constructors’ standings. Haas’ main struggles have been related to tyre performance and keeping Pirelli’s 2019-spec rubber in the optimum window during races. “I still haven't understood these tyres, the Hard one doesn't last as long as the Soft one and it’s all over the place,”...
