Kevin Magnussen: I’ve never experienced such pace swings
Kevin Magnussen says he has never experienced such one-lap performance swings from a car as much as Haas’ 2019 Formula 1 challenger. Magnussen ran Haas’ latest-spec VF-19 at Hockenheim while team-mate Romain Grosjean used the Melbourne-spec car, as the squad tried to understand its recent weaknesses. In extremely hot weather on Friday Magnussen was mired down in 18th place but in cooler weather took fifth position in Saturday’s third practice session.
