German Grand Prix start lights struck by bus

Today's random story of the weekend comes from the Hockenheim grid where on Thursday a bus struck the start/finish lights, causing four of the five boards to fall and hang from their wiring. Almost echoing the pantomine that was the recovery of George Russell's car in Azerbaijan, when a recovery vehicle struck a bridge, a bus attempted to drive under the lights but was unaware of how low they hang. The lights were swiftly fixed just a few hours later with engineers testing them thoroughly ahead of Friday's practice sessions, with a temporary sign added warning of the low clearance.
