Rich Energy CEO: The palace coup has failed

The Rich Energy/Haas sponsor story has taken a rather strange twist with the CEO accusing his share holders of trying to stage a 'coup' and being 'cosy' with Red Bull and Whyte Bikes. Prior to the start of this weekend's British Grand Prix, Rich Energy CEO William Storey posted on Twitter that his company will no longer be Haas' title sponsor. He cited 'poor performance' from the F1 team, adding that 'politics and PC attitude in F1 is also inhibiting our business.' Haas denied this with team boss Guenther Steiner telling the media at the British Grand Prix that it was business as usual for Haas and Rich Energy.
