Vettel: We tried some things, but they didn't really work
Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel has admitted the Maranello side tried some things, but also conceded "they didn't really work", as Mercedes dominated the timesheets yet again. Lewis Hamilton topped both the FP1 and FP2 standings for Mercedes, as the reigning champions continue to pull away from a rather helpless Ferrari. Vettel ended FP2 in third-place, behind Hamilton and his team-mate Valtteri Bottas, with the German a huge 0.763s off the Brit at the top of the grid. The Italian team endured a painful Spanish Grand Prix last time out, and they admitted back then that its SF90 has been a disappointment.
