F1 legend Niki Lauda passes away aged 70
Three-time Formula 1 champion Niki Lauda has passed away at the age of 70 after fighting against health issues since last year. The Austrian racer was re-admitted to hospital in 2019 after having a lung transplant late in 2018, susceptible to infections due to a lower immune system as a result of the major surgery. Following this period, it has emerged that the 70-year-old has succumbed to his recent poor health, passing away peacefully on Monday with his family present.
