Things to know before the Chinese Grand Prix
Formula One headed to Shanghai this weekend for the third round of the 2019 FIA Formula One World Championship, the Chinese Grand Prix. The event marks a milestone as the sport celebrates the 1000th race in the Championship’s 70-year history. Over the past weeks, the sport has been busy with preparing itself for the one-thousandth race of the Championship. However, some have questioned that the sport has already reached this milestone. Some argue that the Championship has had 28 races which were run under non-F1 regulation (AAA - American Automobile Association), meaning that tomorrow's Chinese Grand Prix will be the 972th in its history.
