Ricciardo optimistic in closing the gap to the top three

Renault finished fourth in the Constructors’ championship in 2018 finishing comfortably ahead of the midfield but still way off the top three however Daniel Ricciardo is confident the team can continue their good progress and close the gap. Ricciardo signed for Renault having left Red Bull at the end of 2018 after five seasons racing for the team. He already has experience with Renault engines after all his seasons at Red Bull were spent with a Renault power unit. Ricciardo is aware of the gap to the top but wants to establish their position as the best of the rest.
