When the Chairman checks in on the action

It looks like the times, they are a-changin' at Ferrari. Since Mattia Binotto has been put in charge of the Scuderia, there's been a clear change of complexion at the Italian outfit. Ouvertures to the media, improved communication from its top men, a better and more helpful working atmosphere within the team itself, the transformation of the House of Maranello is discernible. But when Ferrari Chairman John Elkann takes time out from his busy corporate schedule to check in on the troops on the final day of pre-season testing and spend a few hours on the pitwall, you know the metamorphosis is deep. Our money is on the Scuderia this year.
