Ex-Ferrari Academy driver Zhou switches to Renault
Renault have confirmed the addition of Guanyu Zhou to their Renault Sport Academy, joining as development driver for 2019. The Chinese driver, a race winner in the European Formula 3 championship, has already parted company with Ferrari's driver academy. Ferrari have already confirmed the signing of Zhou's team-mate at Prema during Formula 3, Mick Schumacher. Zhou will mostly be involved in the simulator work at the Renault team, and his chances of being able to sample Formula One machinery will likely depend on the progress he makes during his time in the Formula 2 Championship.
