BREAKING: Alonso to run Indy 500 in 2019

Fernando Alonso has confirmed that he will be returning to the Brickyard in 2019 and running in the Indy 500. McLaren confirmed on Saturday that the Spaniard would be making his second appearance at the famous race as he goes in search of the win to complete motorsport's Triple Crown. Alonso said that he was up for the challenge once more and was looking forward to the race next year. “I’ve made clear for some time my desire to achieve the Triple Crown,” said Alonso. “I had an incredible experience at Indianapolis in 2017 and I knew in my heart of hearts I had to go back if the opportunity was there.
