F1 confirms plans for Miami fan festival

Formula 1 has confirmed plans for next month’s Miami fan festival, which will take place alongside the United States Grand Prix at Austin. Liberty Media has been keen to expand Formula 1 in the United States and earlier this year unveiled plans for a Grand Prix to take place around Miami’s streets in 2019. Those proposals have currently been put on hold for at least another year, but a fan festival will take place in the city on October 20-21. Red Bull Racing and Renault will lead the motorsport contingent, with a range of past and present cars available, while Emerson Fittipaldi will demonstrate his title-winning McLaren M23.
