Pérez accepts fate: "Penalty was fair"

Sergio Pérez was handed a drive-through penalty during the Singapore Grand Prix for barging into Sergey Sirotkin, and the Mexican conceded that that was probably the right decision. You could argue that he should've been handed a penalty before that. In the very first lap, Pérez squeezed his teammate Esteban Ocon off the track, causing the Frenchman to run out of track and hit the wall, ending his race and causing a Safety Car. No further action was taken though, meaning Pérez could carry on. After pitting, he was behind the Williams of Sergey Sirotkin, and couldn't get past.
