Grosjean nears race ban after latest penalty

Romain Grosjean is just three points away from a one-race ban after he ignored blue flags at the Singapore Grand Prix. The Frenchman was bogged down in a fight with Sergey Sirotkin, all while race leader Lewis Hamilton was trying to lap the duo with Max Verstappen right on his tail. With Grosjean and Sirotkin battling for track position, the blue flags were not top priority for either driver as Hamilton tried to thread his way through. Grosjean was subsequently given a five-second penalty for ignoring the blue flags and it dropped him down to a rather lowly P15 finish after starting the race from P8.
