Ricciardo left wondering what could have been after disappointing qualifying

Daniel Ricciardo has admitted that he felt emotional following qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix having felt that pole position was a possibility. The Australian will line up in sixth position for tomorrow's race but said he didn't understand how he had fallen so far back off of the pace. Speaking to Sky Sports F1 after qualifying had ended, Ricciardo was left to ponder on an opportunity missed having been so optimistic going into the hour session. “We had a little bit of an issue but that’s not the reason why we dropped off so much pace,” he explained. “We were there, made changes after P3 and after Q1 it felt like we were there and could run with it, but we...
