WATCH: On this day in 1994 Alesi gets pole in Italy

On this day 24 years ago, Jean Alesi performed part of a Ferrari 1-2 at their home race in Monza. In the video below, you can see how he did it! Last time out, Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen repeated the feat in qualifying, but couldn't produce the magic in the race. The following day 24 years ago, Alesi retired with a gearbox issue on lap 14.  Jean Alesi takes Pole Position ahead of teammate Gerhard Berger for a Ferrari 1-2.
